Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance/Quality Control Auditor to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. This role is crucial for maintaining our high standards throughout the production process. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various quality control functions, ensuring compliance with company and client requirements, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the Quality Assurance function within Kenya.
• Manage the coordination of fit approvals and pre-production (PP) meetings.
• Conduct thorough inline and final product inspections.
• Monitor production work-in-progress (WIP), identify challenges, and report them to Asia and North America Leads.
• Communicate inspection outcomes for each production order to the Head Office.
• Perform comprehensive inspections of packaging components, execution, and labeling.
• Prepare and disseminate daily quality inspection reports.
• Maintain and track production WIP.
• Ensure adherence to Licensor/Customer QA requirements, including packing instructions.
• Conduct factory audits and develop corrective action plans.
• Track approvals for color, bulk fabric, and trims.
• Manage samples and special requirements for Product Development (PD) and Design.
• Collaborate with factories on QA matters and packing instructions.
• Review reports and assist in resolving production issues.
• Ensure compliance, manage vendor onboarding, and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to vendor allocation and sourcing strategy.
• Verify and dispatch official Purchase Orders (PO) to factories, updating delivery dates in SAP.
• Coordinate with sales teams regarding quantities, delivery schedules, and direct shipment order bookings on HFC/CPO/PO systems.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience in quality assurance or the textile industry.
• Possess creativity, technical aptitude, and a keen sense for garment and textile aesthetics.
• Stay current with the latest QA/QC methodologies and best practices.
• Solid understanding of garment manufacturing processes, including construction, fabrication, trims, and printing techniques.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Textile or a related discipline.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products, particularly Excel.
