Position Overview
The University of California, Irvine invites applications for Specialist roles within the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. These full-time positions are sponsored by faculty members in the School of Medicine and focus on specialized research, professional activities, and service to both the university and the public. Qualifications
Applicants must meet specific educational and experiential criteria based on rank:
- Junior Specialist: A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in research is required.
- Assistant Specialist: A master's degree or five years of specialized experience is needed.
- Associate Specialist: Requires a master's degree or five to ten years of relevant specialization experience, accompanied by academic accomplishments such as published research and service records.
- Full Specialist: A terminal degree or ten or more years of experience with significant academic and professional achievements, including recognized research contributions and service involvement.
