Job description
Overview
GovCIO is looking to add a Special Operations Activities Coordinator to support the SOJTF-C J3X Director with the coordination of special operations activity across the region. The role is based in Doha, Qatar and supports the CENTCOM AOR.
What you'll do
- Assist the SOJTF-C J3X Director in organizing and aligning special operations activity across the region.
- Provide guidance to the J3X and the SOJTF-C Commander on how special operations plans are developed and carried out.
- Help with coordination, deconfliction, and synchronization of special operations activities throughout the region.
- Work closely with the intelligence community to support shared objectives and smoother execution.
- Contribute to planning efforts for special operations in the area of responsibility.
- With supervision and approval from J3X, gather special operations activity data and distribute it to the controlled operations community.
- Support J3X-led training for subordinate SOAAs, including database management, OPSEC, and relevant special operations tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Help deliver campaign plan objectives assigned by the COR.
- Contribute to the development, review, and rollout of special operations policies across the command.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree plus 8-12 years of experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience, is required.
Required experience and security
- A Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph is mandatory.
- The candidate must be eligible to obtain a GCOMS account.
- At least 10 years of operational background and subject matter expertise in Unconventional Warfare (UW), Advanced Special Operations Techniques (ASOT), and Operational Preparation of the Environment (OPE) are required.
- Applicants should have U.S. Special Operations experience and meet one of the following seniority profiles: Enlisted E7 or above, Warrant Officer CW2 or above, or Commissioned Officer O3 or above.
Preferred profile
- Background in CMF 18 series or a closely related specialty is preferred.
- Graduation from the ASOT Managers Course is an added advantage.

This position is located in Doha, Qatar, and supports operations across the CENTCOM AOR. The role is a full-time onsite opportunity.
Compensation
The posted salary range is USD 170,000 to USD 200,000 per year.
