Job Overview
This opportunity allows individuals with a law or legal background to transition into the role of an FBI Special Agent. The role not only leverages your legal research skills but also challenges you to develop expertise in national security, tackling issues such as cyberattacks, terrorism, and fraud. You will gain advanced investigative training, real-world experience, and use cutting-edge technology while enhancing your litigation and dispute resolution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investigations concerning potential federal law violations, cybersecurity, and public safety concerns.
- Employ critical judgment, flexibility, and resourcefulness to satisfy investigative requirements.
- Build and sustain cooperative relationships with a wide network of law enforcement agencies on local, tribal, state, federal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain physical fitness necessary to execute law enforcement duties effectively.
Essential Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
- Willingness to travel as the job demands.
- Fulfillment of FBI employment eligibility criteria.
Education and Application Process
- Candidates must hold at least a bachelor’s degree or Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. institution, preferably in law or a related discipline.

Salary
The salary range for this role is between $93,749 to $133,200 per year, adjusted according to base, locality, and availability pay.
