Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of legal documentation and compile case files for criminal investigations.
• Conduct thorough legal research and gather pertinent evidence to aid solicitors in case preparation.
• Manage case documentation, ensuring all records are systematic and current.
• Interface with clients to obtain relevant information and keep them informed about their case progress.
• Attend court proceedings and inquiries, taking detailed notes and assisting as required.
• Keep up to date with advancements and changes in criminal law and related legal procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a law degree or an equivalent legal qualification.
• Preferably holds Police Station Accreditation or is willing to pursue it.
• A strong commitment to human rights and interest in legal aid work.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior paralegal experience or related legal support background is advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of criminal law principles.
• Effective multitasking and prioritization capabilities across numerous cases.
• Analytical thinking paired with proficient research skills.
• A deep passion for social justice and advocating for clients.
