Position Overview

This role as a Special Agent at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is reserved for professionals with a background in law or legal disciplines. Your investigative career will involve critical thinking and swift action in matters impacting national security. Bringing your expertise from legal frameworks, you will play an essential role in protecting the nation against threats such as cybercrime, terrorism, financial fraud, and other evolving dangers.

Role Responsibilities

• Plan and execute investigations concerning potential breaches of federal statutes, cybersecurity incidents, and threats to public safety.
• Apply sound judgment, innovation, and flexibility to meet the dynamic demands of investigative work.
• Establish and nurture productive partnerships with various law enforcement entities at federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
• Maintain physical fitness standards necessary to perform law enforcement responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications and Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance is required.
• Must be prepared to travel as the job necessitates.
• Must comply with the FBI’s employment eligibility criteria.
• A bachelor's or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree preferably in law, legal studies, or an allied area from an accredited U.S. institution.
• Submission of official college transcripts is required for degree verification.

Compensation

The salary band for this role ranges from $93,749 to $133,200 and is influenced by base salary, locality pay, and availability incentives.
