Job Overview
This role offers an opportunity to leverage your accounting background by joining the FBI as a Special Agent. Far beyond a career change, this position provides the chance to develop new capabilities and deepen your expertise as you contribute to critical national security missions. You will collaborate with skilled professionals to counter cyber threats, terrorism, fraud, and other evolving dangers, utilizing both your existing financial knowledge and the investigative skills you develop.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute investigations into potential breaches of federal laws, including cybersecurity and public safety concerns.
- Apply judgment, creativity, and adaptability to address complex investigative challenges.
- Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with law enforcement agencies at the federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain physical fitness standards necessary to perform demanding law enforcement duties effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel as job demands.
- Meet all FBI Employment Eligibility requirements.
- Possess a bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S.-accredited institution, ideally in accounting or related disciplines such as business administration, finance, or forensic accounting.
- Degree verification is required through submission of official college transcripts.
Compensation
Annual salary ranges between $93,749 and $133,200, adjusted for base pay, locality, and availability.
