Job Overview
This position, exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze, invites professionals with an accounting and finance background to become Special Agents at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. Joining the FBI offers a unique chance to apply your analytical skills and financial expertise to protect national security, tackle violent crime, cybersecurity threats, terrorism, fraud, and other evolving challenges.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan and execute investigations involving possible violations of federal law impacting cybersecurity and public safety.
- Demonstrate judgment, adaptability, and resourcefulness to meet the demands of complex investigations.
- Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with law enforcement agencies at federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain required physical fitness to fulfill law enforcement responsibilities effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- Qualification to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance is required.
- Willingness to travel when necessary.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S. accredited institution, preferably in accounting, business administration, finance, or forensic accounting.
- Candidates must submit verified college transcripts.
- Meet the FBI's employment eligibility criteria.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is from $93,749 to $133,200 annually, depending on base, locality, and availability pay factors.
