Overview
This opportunity offers professionals with accounting backgrounds a chance to transition into a Special Agent role within the FBI. Beyond leveraging your existing financial skills, this position will challenge you to think analytically and adapt rapidly while collaborating with top-tier professionals to address critical national security issues including cyber threats, terrorism, and fraud.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead investigations concerning potential breaches of federal laws, with a focus on cybersecurity and public safety.
- Apply sound judgment, creativity, and flexibility to fulfill complex investigative requirements.
- Establish and sustain productive partnerships with law enforcement agencies across federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
- Maintain physical fitness levels necessary to undertake law enforcement activities effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements
- United States citizenship is mandatory.
- Capability to secure a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance is required.
- Willingness to travel as per duty demands.
- Fulfillment of the FBI’s Employment Eligibility criteria.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited institution, preferably in accounting or closely related disciplines such as business administration, finance, or forensic accounting.
- Submission of official college transcripts to verify academic credentials.
Compensation
The pay scale for this role ranges from $93,749 to $133,200 annually, corresponding to base salary, locality adjustments, and availability payments.
