Overview

This role offers cybersecurity professionals a unique opportunity to transition into a Special Agent position with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where you will expand your expertise by engaging in high-stakes investigations related to national security threats. Beyond applying your technical background, you will gain advanced investigative training and utilize emerging technologies to safeguard the nation from cyberattacks, terrorism, fraud, and evolving dangers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform investigations into potential violations of federal laws concerning cybersecurity and public safety.
  • Apply sound judgment and adapt resourcefully to meet the complexities of investigative demands.
  • Establish and nurture collaborative working relationships with law enforcement agencies across federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
  • Maintain physical fitness necessary to carry out law enforcement responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • United States citizenship is mandatory.
  • Ability to secure Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance is required.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for investigative purposes.
  • Must fulfill the FBI's employment eligibility criteria.
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited institution; preferred fields include computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or related disciplines.
  • Submission of official college transcripts for degree verification is mandatory.
  • Applicants must submit a detailed resume (maximum two pages), and supporting documents such as veterans' documentation if applicable.

Compensation

The pay scale for this position ranges between $93,749 and $133,200 annually, adjusted based on base pay, locality, and availability pay.
