Special Agent: Cybersecurity and Technology Expertise

Overview

This role offers cybersecurity professionals a unique opportunity to transition into a Special Agent position with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where you will expand your expertise by engaging in high-stakes investigations related to national security threats. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform investigations into potential violations of federal laws concerning cybersecurity and public safety.
• Apply sound judgment and adapt resourcefully to meet the complexities of investigative demands.
• Establish and nurture collaborative working relationships with law enforcement agencies across federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international levels.
• Maintain physical fitness necessary to carry out law enforcement responsibilities effectively.

Qualifications and Requirements

• United States citizenship is mandatory.
• Ability to secure Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance is required.
• Willingness to travel as needed for investigative purposes.
• Must fulfill the FBI's employment eligibility criteria.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. accredited institution; preferred fields include computer science, engineering, data science, information technology, or related disciplines.
• Submission of official college transcripts for degree verification is mandatory.
• Applicants must submit a detailed resume (maximum two pages), and supporting documents such as veterans' documentation if applicable.

Compensation

The pay scale for this position ranges between $93,749 and $133,200 annually, adjusted based on base pay, locality, and availability pay.
