About the Role

The HEINEKEN Company is seeking a Spare Parts Coordinator to be stationed in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), Eastern Cape. The successful candidate will report directly to the Maintenance Engineer and will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the management of engineering stores and spare parts inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire and manage the team reporting to you.
  • Evaluate and enhance the processes related to engineering stores and material receipt.
  • Supervise and coordinate stocktaking activities and regular cycle counts.
  • Control inventory, addressing shortages, losses, obsolete and new stock levels.
  • Ensure the precise and high-quality storage of equipment and stock.
  • Minimize losses and write-offs effectively.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and management within SAP systems.
  • Handle associated administrative functions including recordkeeping and document filing.
  • Uphold strong housekeeping and safety standards within the work area.
  • Engage actively in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) business initiatives.
  • Manage service level agreements and foster relationships with both internal customers and external suppliers.
  • Prepare documentation and reports required for the Integrated Control Center (ICC).

Required Experience and Skills

  • Possession of a relevant diploma such as Inventory and Stores Management or Supply Chain Management.
  • Between one to three years of experience in stock control within a production or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office and SAP, specifically PM and MM modules.
  • Strong skills in administration and data management.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety protocols and housekeeping practices.
  • Capability to work independently and manage pressure effectively.
  • Self-driven and able to perform duties without direct supervision.
  • Meticulous, accurate, and highly conscientious in work approach.
  • Customer-oriented mindset focused on service quality.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours when needed.
  • Possession of reliable personal transport for commuting to and from work.
