Job Summary
This role is focused on keeping spare parts master records accurate and dependable, establishing lifespan standards for high-value items, verifying quality, and clearing up data or issuance mismatches quickly. The objective is to strengthen maintenance efficiency, improve visibility into spare-related costs, and support sound budgeting decisions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and support master data for spares used across factory, estate, transport, and workshop equipment, with integration into the SAP SCG module.
- Determine and calculate the average service life of high-value OEM spare parts for norm setting.
- Assist with quality checks and inspection of spare parts.
- Update spare master records on a monthly and quarterly basis whenever new items are introduced.
- Investigate, correct, and close queries related to spare issuance.
- Supply reliable spare usage records and cost information for annual budget preparation.
- Continuously reconcile and correct discrepancies in spare issuance records.
Educational Qualification and Work Experience
A minimum of a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is required. Having a professional certification relevant to the role will be considered an added advantage. Candidates should also have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with SAP PM, MM, and SCG modules.
