Job description
About Tradio
Tradio is reworking how textile sourcing works for global fashion and home brands. The company brings sourcing, vetted manufacturers, quality checks, and logistics together into one integrated system to reduce fragmentation in the supply chain. Instead of operating like a marketplace, Tradio focuses on dependable end-to-end execution supported by technology and a trusted supplier base. It is a founding team environment that values action, ownership, and building from the ground up.
Role Overview
This position is part of the founding team and will be responsible for building Tradio’s manufacturing network across North India, especially in regions strong in home textiles and workwear exports. The role covers Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan, and will have a direct impact on the company’s national expansion. The role is based around key textile hubs such as Ludhiana, Panipat, and Delhi NCR.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and manage relationships with manufacturers across Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan, including cities such as Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Panipat, Gurgaon, Noida, Meerut, Jaipur, and Bhilwara.
- Develop supplier coverage in hosiery, home textiles such as bedsheets, towels, and furnishings, as well as workwear and technical textiles, including dyeing units, printing units, and yarn suppliers.
- Design structured factory audit processes to evaluate capacity, quality systems, and compliance certifications such as OEKO-TEX, GOTS, WRAP, and ZDHC.
- Align North Indian manufacturing strengths with buyer requirements in Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
- Track production from yarn sourcing through finishing and dispatch, while coordinating with testing laboratories, compliance auditors, and logistics partners.
- Share market insights on raw material prices, production capacity usage, and new manufacturing capabilities to support regional expansion planning.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings several years of textile sourcing, merchandising, or production planning experience, preferably from an export house or buying office. They should have practical exposure to onboarding multiple factories, strong knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, and well-established relationships within North India’s textile ecosystem. The role also calls for a self-driven builder who is comfortable creating processes from scratch, working through uncertainty, and taking broad ownership beyond a fixed job description.
Experience and Skills
Preferred background includes experience with factory audits, supplier negotiations, and relationship management, along with familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SEDEX, BSCI, and the Higg Index. Useful technical exposure includes spinning, weaving, knitting, processing, and finishing across home textiles, knitwear, or workwear.
Good to Have
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Technology, Apparel Management, or a related discipline.
- Comfort using Excel, Google Sheets, and supplier management tools.
- Ability to communicate in Hindi or Punjabi, along with English.
Why Join Tradio
- Opportunity to receive founding team equity and stock options linked to business growth.
- Direct input into the product roadmap, expansion plan, and broader business model.
- Chance to build systems that can support global market access for more than 10,000 textile MSMEs in North India.
- Potential growth path from regional leadership into national operations leadership over Years 2 to 5.
Application Details
Interested candidates should send a resume along with a short note covering their manufacturer network, one challenging sourcing problem they have solved, and why they are interested in this founding team opportunity.
