Job description
Role overview
An entertainment challenger brand that is growing quickly is hiring a Sourcing and Production Manager to support its next stage of expansion. The company has seen strong product traction and is now broadening its range and international reach.
This is a practical, commercially driven position focused on end-to-end sourcing and production. You will work closely with the Head of Operations and other teams to make sure products are delivered on schedule, meet specifications, and stay within target cost.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard manufacturing partners across international markets.
- Handle day-to-day supplier communication and monitor partner performance.
- Compare suppliers on pricing, quality, and reliability to ensure the right manufacturing base is selected.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, minimum order quantities, contracts, payment terms, and lead times.
- Take full ownership of product costing, including components, packaging, and freight.
- Find opportunities to reduce costs and improve margin performance.
- Oversee the production workflow from purchase order placement through to final delivery.
- Monitor factory capacity and lead times, and act early to prevent delays.
- Coordinate sampling, tooling, and approvals before production begins.
- Set quality control expectations and manage third-party inspection activity.
- Support new product development from initial concept through the first production run.
- Create and improve processes and playbooks that help the supply chain scale efficiently.
Candidate profile
The business is looking for someone who has already sourced and produced physical consumer goods in an international setting. Experience working with manufacturers overseas, especially in China, is important.
You should bring strong commercial judgement, be confident negotiating supplier terms, and have a clear record of reducing costs and improving margins. The role also calls for experience managing suppliers and factory performance, plus a detail-oriented approach to quality standards.
Ideally, you will have helped launch new products from concept to production and be comfortable taking full ownership of sourcing and production activities with minimal oversight. Experience within a brand operating below £30m in size is required.
Working arrangement and package
This is a hybrid position based in Central London, with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.
Salary is listed at £50,000 to £60,000.
Additional information
The company places a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion, and aims to maintain a recruitment process where candidates can bring their authentic selves.
If you do not receive an update within 14 days, the application will not be moving forward. The team notes that the role may already be close to closing due to application volume.
The employer also encourages applicants to stay connected for future opportunities.
