This position is for a cloud-oriented Solutions Architect who will shape and deliver solution designs within a modern insurance environment, with strong use of AWS and/or GCP, plus open-source, PaaS, and SaaS building blocks.

What the role involves

You will partner directly with clients to understand their goals, define solution architecture, and support the delivery of implementations that match both customer needs and internal standards. The role also includes working with product and delivery stakeholders to keep solution design aligned with roadmaps and deployment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with clients to capture needs and recommend suitable architecture approaches
• Coordinate with product managers so that proposed solutions fit the product direction and client expectations
• Work alongside delivery managers to guide architecture decisions through implementation
• Evaluate different solution options and select the most effective path forward
• Help identify, define, and choose packaged components that fit the use case
• Support clients during implementation and provide ongoing architectural guidance
• Stay current with market trends and new technologies to improve solution quality

Experience and technical background

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in solution architecture and delivery within insurance, covering multiple lines of business
• Background in enterprise cloud product delivery
• Ability to shape and communicate product or enterprise roadmaps
• Strong skill in converting client requirements into concrete architecture and execution steps
• Good understanding of business architecture models and patterns
• Proven ability to create practical and creative solutions to complex business challenges
• Comfortable balancing innovative thinking with real business constraints
• Knowledge of high-availability and highly scalable cloud application design
• Experience designing for relational databases and NoSQL systems
• Experience working in API-driven and microservices-based environments
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies independently
• Exposure to low-code platforms is an advantage
• Familiarity with several programming languages and database engines is beneficial, even though hands-on development is not expected
• Understanding of authentication and authorization topics such as SSO, SAML, and identity federation
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in English

• Strong analytical ability to gather and interpret requirements from enterprise clients
• Capable of building value propositions, solution documentation, and occasionally business cases
• Experience managing relationships with corporate clients
• Excellent organization, interpersonal skills, and audience engagement
• Sound judgment and decision-making ability
• Solid grasp of insurance processes across the business, including at least two lines of business
• Able to stay focused and organized through structured planning
• Architecture certification such as TOGAF or Zachman is a plus
• Cloud certification with broad platform knowledge is also an advantage
