About the Role
Kapa delivers instant access to technical knowledge via AI-powered assistants. As a Software Engineer at Kapa, you will contribute across the software stack supporting systems that handle thousands of developer queries daily. An example of Kapa in action can be seen through Docker's documentation "Ask AI" feature.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with founding and research teams.
- Enhance scalability and reliability of the Kapa retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) infrastructure, primarily using Python.
- Develop and trial new functionalities within the Kapa analytics platform leveraging React and Python.
- Implement client-side integrations for customer deployments utilizing React and Python.
- Extend Kapa's data sources to incorporate additional forms of data using Python.
- Support maintenance and updates of the React SDK.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of a degree in computer science, machine learning, mathematics, statistics, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience across complex backend and frontend systems.
- Interest or background in machine learning, deep learning (specifically large language models), and natural language processing.
- Adaptability in dynamic and sometimes loosely-defined work environments.

Compensation and Experience
The salary range offered is between $100,000 and $150,000 per annum. Candidates should bring at least three years of relevant experience.
