About Alghad College for Applied Medical Sciences
Alghad College for Applied Medical Sciences is a private higher-education institution in Saudi Arabia that was established in 2009. It was created to help meet the growing demand for qualified national talent in the healthcare sector. The college operates in eight major cities and regions: Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam, Tabuk, Buraydah, Najran, and Abha. It offers bachelor’s degree programs in applied medical sciences and is accredited by the Ministry of Education.
Role Overview
This position is for a full-time administrative social worker based in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The contract duration is one year, and the work schedule is 48 hours per week.
General Conditions
- The applicant must hold the degree required for the chosen specialization from a Saudi university or from a university recognized by the Ministry of Education, along with proof of equivalency for non-Saudi qualifications.
- A specialization match is required for lecturer and faculty roles.
- A bachelor’s degree with at least a good classification is required.
- All university-level studies must have been completed through full-time enrollment.
- The candidate must successfully pass the scientific test and the personal interview.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Social Work, or another closely related field. A valid classification from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties is required. Candidates with degrees from outside Saudi Arabia must also provide an equivalency certificate issued by the Ministry of Education.
Experience
At least 2 years of experience in the relevant field is required.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to carrying out the college’s vision and mission.
- Provide individual and group counseling for students to help them manage emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges.
- Follow up on special psychological cases and prepare suitable support plans.
- Help students strengthen personal and social skills that improve academic and behavioral performance.
- Assess students’ social situations and provide the right support to help them integrate into the academic environment.
- Oversee social programs that strengthen positive relationships between students and faculty.
- Coordinate with associations and external organizations that specialize in social and psychological support for college students.
- Help address social issues that may affect students’ academic performance.
- Prepare and deliver awareness programs and workshops that build psychological and social awareness among students.
- Organize awareness campaigns on mental health, academic stress, and adapting to university life.
- Develop preventive mental health initiatives aligned with the college’s vision and mission.
- Support the creation of a positive educational environment that promotes the psychological and social well-being of everyone at the college.
- Prepare periodic reports on psychological and social activities and submit them to senior management.
- Maintain confidential and up-to-date records for all monitored cases in line with ethical and professional standards.
- Work with academic and administrative departments to ensure effective psychological and social support.
- Comply with college policies, regulations, and professional standards while delivering social and psychological services.
- Perform any other duties assigned within the scope of the role.
- Protect the college’s reputation and property, maintain order, and help ensure student safety.
- Work on a full-time basis at the college.
- Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and instructions in Saudi Arabia, and avoid any actions that could interfere with religion or politics.
Working Conditions
The role is full-time and administrative, with a weekly schedule of 48 hours. The contract is annual.
Compensation and Benefits
