Role Overview
The Social Media Strategist will direct the formulation, creation, and implementation of StorQuest’s social media campaigns across all platforms, emphasizing the engagement and growth of local communities in cities nationwide. This position demands balancing consistent national brand messaging with authentic localized storytelling that promotes community ties and brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with brand objectives, campaign calendars, and specific location marketing plans.
- Manage an editorial calendar for consistent scheduling of content at daily, weekly, and monthly intervals.
- Identify opportunities to highlight key brand themes such as adventure, lifestyle, and community through both organic and paid social initiatives.
- Ensure strategies reflect both overarching national brand identity and local market personalities.
- Revise and enhance the influencer program to establish measurable and strategic outcomes.
- Create and curate engaging content in various media formats, including photos, videos, stories, and reels, tailored to platform and community needs.
- Feature location-based stories, events, and partnerships to deepen local engagement.
- Collaborate with creative teams to generate polished visual and video materials.
- Utilize user-generated content and influencer partnerships to increase reach and authenticity.
- Update website visuals and headlines as necessary.
- Monitor, moderate, and respond promptly to community interactions on social media to maintain brand consistency.
- Engage actively with local groups, influencers, and community pages to boost brand presence.
- Support store teams in promoting local events and initiatives through social channels.
- Coordinate with Field Marketing Managers on social media activations designed to increase customer engagement and traffic.
- Work with senior marketing leadership to analyze social media performance, track metrics such as reach and conversion, and inform strategy improvements.
- Conduct A/B testing of messaging and creative assets to refine effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of evolving social media platforms and industry best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, PR, email, and paid media teams to develop integrated campaigns.
- Assist in crisis communication and protecting brand reputation via social platforms.
- Maintain adaptability to perform various other business-related duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 5 years of experience managing social media, preferably within multi-location retail, hospitality, or lifestyle brands.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven capability to grow social media audiences and engagement on both national and local levels.
- Strong skills in writing, editing, and visual storytelling.
- Proficiency with social media analytics tools and managing paid campaigns.
- Basic photography, videography, and graphic design skills are advantageous.
- Passionate about adventure and lifestyle brands and connecting authentically with communities.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with creative problem-solving abilities and leadership qualities.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with teamwork orientation.
- Competency in MS Office and ease with adopting new digital tools; skilled with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, and scheduling software like Later and Sprout Social.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proactive, intellectually curious, adaptable, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.
Compensation & Perks
- Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000 annually, plus performance bonuses.
