Role Overview
This permanent, full-time position focuses on crafting engaging social media content for Manchester City's primary platforms. Responsibilities include planning creative ideas, capturing key moments, editing content for platform requirements, and ensuring the voice remains fresh and consistent. Daily tasks involve supporting live match coverage, producing compelling copy, creating short-form videos and photos, and adapting to diverse audience preferences. Performance monitoring and trend analysis are essential to guide content creation. Collaboration across content departments and stakeholders is crucial to deliver content aligned with editorial standards and broader brand and commercial strategies.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in creating, editing, and posting across major social media platforms.
- Proficiency in writing clear, audience-tailored social media copy.
- Skills in video and photo editing, especially short-form and vertical formats.
- Ability to utilize social analytics for performance evaluation and content planning.
- Strong editorial judgement with attention to media law and publishing standards.
- Good knowledge of football culture and capability to support live, real-time publishing collaboratively.
