Position overview
Space Needle is hiring a Social Media Manager to shape and run the social strategy for Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass. This role is focused on showcasing guest experiences, strengthening brand connection, supporting marketing and PR initiatives, and building an active community that converts visitors into loyal fans. You will partner closely with the Director of PR and PR managers to plan, execute, review, and improve social media efforts aimed at raising awareness and driving attendance.
Core responsibilities
- Own the social media strategy and day-to-day management across six accounts: Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, The Loupe Lounge, The Bar at Chihuly Garden and Glass, Base 2 Space, and See It All.
- Track audience growth, engagement, and traffic trends, and take action to improve performance across platforms.
- Produce social content in multiple formats, including written copy, photos, and video.
- Build a steady content pipeline using guest-generated content, photography partners, and planned photoshoots.
- Set key performance indicators and evaluate campaign and ongoing social activity against them.
- Create and keep current the company’s social media standard operating procedures.
- Keep pace with evolving social media tools, platform changes, trends, and best practices.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong communication and positive working relationships.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Experience and skills
- Bring at least 3 years of professional experience in content curation and social media marketing.
- Show a proven ability to grow and retain social audiences.
- Be comfortable using tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Supermetrics, and CrowdRiff.
- Experience with consumer-focused brands, especially in hospitality, tourism, attractions, or food and beverage, is a plus.
- Work confidently in Microsoft Office.
- Adapt well to a fast-moving, collaborative, and dynamic office environment.
- Be available for occasional evenings or weekends when required.
- Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, initiative, creativity, and teamwork.
- Maintain a high standard of quality and guest service.
- Communicate clearly in both writing and speaking.
- Be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds and remain standing for extended periods during events.
Compensation and benefits
This is a full-time salaried position with a compensation range of $70,000 to $80,000, depending on experience.
