Social Media Manager - Country Music Artist

Role Overview

The Familie is seeking a highly imaginative, social-led content creator to support a rapidly growing country music artist. In this role, you will capture and develop engaging content that strengthens the artist’s connection with fans across every major social platform.

This position is more than scheduled posting. You will be documenting the artist’s day-to-day life, helping build an engaged fan community, and creating the kind of moments people share, save, and discuss. The work includes touring with the artist, filming everything from packed live shows to behind-the-scenes experiences, and contributing to the evolution of the artist’s digital brand as the career expands.

Content Capture and Production

• Take high-quality photo and video assets every day, covering performances, backstage access, travel, rehearsals, studio time, and lifestyle-style “day in the life” moments.
• Produce content days in Nashville along with other planned creative shoots.
• Edit short-form videos tailored for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
• Record spontaneous, authentic moments while keeping the visual style aligned with the artist’s brand.
• Sort, label, and maintain media files so content can be turned around quickly and used over the long term.

Social Media Management

• Share content in real time on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other new or emerging platforms.
• Build and run a content plan that supports fan interaction, audience growth, and music discovery.
• Craft captions that sound true to the artist’s voice.
• Track platform trends closely and spot opportunities for timely, culturally relevant posts.
• Review performance data and refine the approach based on what the numbers show.

Creative Direction and Brand Building

• Work closely with the artist and management to create a unified digital identity.
• Spot viral-worthy moments and creative ideas during tours and release cycles.
• Help define how fans experience the artist, the music, and the live performance online.
• Develop recurring content series and repeatable social formats.

Tour Integration

• Travel with the artist for tour dates and promotional appearances.
• Coordinate with the tour manager and crew to make sure content capture runs smoothly.
• Be ready for a flexible schedule that may include late nights, early mornings, weekends, and travel days.

Work Setup and Compensation

This position may be full-time or contract-based, depending on the selected candidate. It involves substantial travel, and Nashville-based candidates are preferred. Pay is competitive and will be determined by experience.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience producing content for musicians, creators, athletes, or other entertainment-focused brands.
• A strong portfolio that highlights short-form, social-first video work.
• Prior experience covering live events or touring content is a strong advantage.
• Comfort using editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Lightroom, or similar software.
• Solid understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and current social media trends.
• Natural storytelling ability with a sharp eye for authentic moments.
• Ability to work independently, move quickly, and handle tight turnaround times.
• Strong organization and media asset management skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to a flexible schedule.
