Combining startup spirit with disciplined, data-driven performance, we develop brands that inspire confidence, deliver measurable outcomes, and consistently outperform category competitors. Our teams operate swiftly and creatively while collaborating effectively.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Manager to bring the Kate Somerville skincare narrative to life on Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms. This position is responsible for daily social content execution and engaging the community, integrating clinic traditions and retail priorities from partners like Ulta, Sephora, and Amazon into our digital strategy.
Responsibilities
- Plan and maintain a detailed social content calendar at least a month ahead, including a quarterly roadmap that balances brand storytelling, skincare education, user-generated content, clinic insights, trending topics, and sales promos.
- Develop and execute social campaign strategies aligned with product launches, seasonal promotions, and broader business goals.
- Manage the Social and Community roadmap within the overall Marketing calendar, highlighting key activations for cross-team coordination.
- Integrate social content efforts with retail events and clinic initiatives to bolster sales.
- Create timely and reactive content responding to cultural moments and evolving business demands.
- Produce and edit short-form videos, graphics, and photos consistently for feeds, Stories, and campaigns on Instagram and TikTok.
- Conceptualize filming ideas and write comprehensive creative briefs for video production teams and in-clinic staff.
- Oversee Instagram Stories' sequence, timing, and narrative coherence.
- Ensure all content meets quality standards before publishing.
- Manage daily community interactions, guaranteeing responses align with brand voice, clinical accuracy, and customer service excellence.
- Collaborate with Influencer and Brand teams to support community and in-clinic events, including logistics and on-site assistance.
- Coordinate monthly social giveaways and brand partnerships.
- Maintain influencer product inventory and collaborate on new client orders and budget management.
- Track social media performance and audience sentiment with analytical tools like Dash Hudson and platform natives; identify trends and engagement opportunities.
- Generate weekly performance scorecards and detailed monthly and quarterly reports on social wins, trends, and actionable recommendations.
- Present insights during team and brand meetings.
- Independently lead projects from conception through delivery, anticipating challenges and addressing risks proactively.
- Facilitate close collaboration across Digital, PR/Influencer, Clinic, Sales, and Brand teams to maintain consistent and timely social media support.
Qualifications
- Over four years of experience in social media, content creation, or community management, preferably in beauty, skincare, or lifestyle sectors.
- Expertise in short-form video production and editing tools such as CapCut and native app features, along with social-oriented photography and graphic skills.
- Proficiency with social analytics and management platforms like Dash Hudson to derive actionable insights.
- Capacity to plan social content weeks in advance while remaining flexible to pivot as needed.
- Strong ownership attitude with demonstrated ability to meet self-imposed deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills across functions and understanding of retail (Ulta, Sephora, Amazon) and clinical or spa environments.
- Highly organized, reliable, punctual, and prepared for meetings from a dedicated workspace.
- Experience presenting social media results and strategic recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Success Metrics
- Consistently publish social content calendars at least four weeks ahead, with quarterly plans developed about three months in advance.
- Maintain regular, on-time publishing cadence with quality deliverables.
- Manage projects comprehensively, proactively addressing risks without reliance on reminders.
- Maintain quality standards for every post, aiming to exceed engagement benchmarks such as Shares and Saves.
- Deliver accurate, up-to-date performance reports regularly.
- Demonstrate professionalism and preparedness for meetings and in-market activations including retail events and in-clinic content production days.
