Role overview
Time+Tide Watches is hiring a Social Media Manager to take ownership of strategy, planning, publishing and performance across its expanding digital presence. This position sits where content, commerce and audience development meet, with responsibility for making sure each asset is adapted for the right audience, format and channel while maintaining a consistently high standard.
The role covers Time+Tide’s media and retail social ecosystem across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and YouTube Shorts. The aim is to grow audiences, strengthen community interaction, increase Discovery Studio visits and support watch sales. This is a strategic channel management position rather than a content production role, as the team already includes multiple creators.
Core responsibilities
You will shape how content is distributed, optimised and measured across channels, ensuring each platform has a clear purpose and a growth plan. The position also includes launching and scaling new channels, refining channel standards, and improving the commercial impact of social activity through analytics and testing.
You will be expected to manage the social calendar, publish content, write strong captions, moderate and engage with the community, and coordinate with creators and freelancers across the UK, US and Australia. The role also supports brand partnerships, sponsored campaigns and paid social by preparing suitable creative assets from briefs.
Working approach
This role requires someone who can combine editorial judgement with platform know-how, work quickly without losing quality, and use AI tools to improve speed, ideation and output. A commercial mindset is important, along with the ability to balance short-term trends with longer-term positioning.
Qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience managing and growing social media or digital content channels. Success in growing audiences on Instagram, TikTok and/or YouTube is important, as is the ability to use analytics and reporting to improve performance. Strong writing, sub-editing, copywriting and content packaging skills are needed, along with project management capability and experience working with multiple stakeholders across time zones.
Applicants should have genuine enthusiasm for the luxury watch space and a strong understanding of how content performs across social platforms and the wider web. Experience with SEO fundamentals, paid social tools, dashboards, media, retail, e-commerce or creator-led businesses will be an advantage.
