About the Role
An established grant-making charitable foundation seeks a part-time Social Media Manager to enhance and expand its digital footprint. This hybrid position is primarily available to UK residents, preferably those living in or near London, with occasional in-person meeting attendance required. There is significant potential for growth in the role as the foundation's activities and audience broaden.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and sustain the foundation's social media channels, posting multiple times weekly on Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Develop, schedule, and disseminate engaging content that embodies the foundation’s core values and voice.
- Actively interact with followers by responding to comments, engaging with posts, and sharing relevant content.
- Keep the news section of the foundation’s website current and accurate.
- Organize and coordinate a content calendar for various platforms to ensure consistent messaging.
- Collaborate with partner charities and organizations to manage press and exhibition materials, obtaining necessary reviews and approvals.
- Provide support to the foundation’s broader communication efforts as the role evolves.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms, especially for foundations, charities, or organizations driven by values.
- Strong expertise in content creation and scheduling, with a focus on Instagram.
- Comfortable updating website content; familiarity with CMS tools like Sanity is advantageous.
- Excellent written communication skills with keen attention to tone and brand consistency.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Willingness and ability to attend in-person meetings in London and work collaboratively with external partners including charities and media contacts.
