Role Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Executive on a six-month fixed-term contract, based in London, UK. This role involves working 2-3 days per week at our client's Canary Wharf offices. The position focuses on supporting social media activities for our Private Bank and Wealth Management (PBWM) sector, managing content plans, daily publishing, monitoring, and employee advocacy efforts while ensuring brand compliance and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute social media content calendars across key channels, ensuring timely and accurate scheduling.
- Create and adapt social media copy tailored for various platforms, audiences, and formats while maintaining brand consistency.
- Manage daily channel operations including post scheduling, activity monitoring, response escalation, and maintaining publication standards.
- Collaborate in producing and coordinating social media assets with innovative ideas to enhance engagement.
- Support employee advocacy and internal influencer programs by managing content uploads and providing ongoing user support.
- Stay updated with platform trends, emerging content styles, and social media best practices, sharing insights with the team.
- Contribute a social-first viewpoint in marketing and content discussions to refine content for social audiences.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify content opportunities and amplify marketing campaigns via social media.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, legal, compliance, and governance requirements before publishing.
- Assist in data collection and performance analysis to generate actionable insights from social media metrics.
- Identify and repurpose content into engaging social-first formats across channels.
- Manage reactive social media activities with sound judgment respecting brand and reputation considerations.
Candidate Requirements
- Solid knowledge of major social media platforms, content formats, and best practices with experience in social media support or management.
- Strong creative insight with a focus on social-first content development.
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading capabilities with the skill to customize messages for diverse channels.
- Ability to multitask, comply with deadlines, and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.
- Good analytical aptitude for extracting data, recognizing trends, and supporting performance reporting.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across marketing and wider teams.
- Proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and a keen interest in social media, digital content, and audience engagement.
- Experience assisting in content creation, briefing designers, or using basic creative software for social media assets.
- Familiarity with social media management platforms like Sprinklr or similar publishing and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of website and social analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or native platform reports.
- Experience working within regulated sectors or managing brand, legal, and compliance review processes.
