Role Overview

We are seeking a Social Media Executive (Community Manager) to join our content team in London. The role involves collaborating with internal content and social video managers to produce compelling social content across platforms including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, and Threads. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for social and cultural trends, experience in online community engagement, and a passion for sports — especially football.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engage actively with online communities by interacting with posts and comments.
  • Identify relevant social and cultural trends that can be converted into authentic content opportunities.
  • Create and publish both scheduled and live content across various social media platforms.
  • Assist in writing platform-tailored captions and optimize assets using design and video tools such as Photoshop, Azzuu, and Slate.
  • Provide ongoing support to internal channel managers and the Social Video Manager in content planning and scheduling.
  • Support matchday activities by spotting content opportunities, delivering outputs, and fostering community engagement.
  • Monitor social media conversations to uncover storytelling prospects and develop innovative content strategies.
  • Participate in ideation and briefing sessions with clients to foster creative innovation and ensure effective content execution.
  • Analyze platform metrics focusing on community engagement and reactive content to guide future strategies.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Proven experience managing and actively engaging online communities, preferably with agencies or sports rights holders.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and optimization techniques for each.
  • Track record of building and sustaining positive community engagement.
  • Experience working with high-profile talents, brands, or organizations.
  • Ability to create and publish reactive content efficiently under pressure.
  • Background in the sports industry, with a genuine passion for football.
  • Proficiency in design and video editing software (Photoshop, Azzuu, Slate) for rapid content optimization.
  • Excellent communication and strong copyediting skills with attention to detail.
  • Commitment to work weekends aligned with the sports calendar.
  • Teamwork experience and a proactive attitude.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience using analytics tools for content performance evaluation.
  • Familiarity with additional editing software like Adobe Photoshop.
  • Interest and knowledge in how AI technologies can enhance workflows and content delivery.
