About The Position
This role is suited for candidates with at least one year of post-secondary education in marketing, graphic design, communications, or equivalent experience. The ideal applicant demonstrates graphic design expertise alongside social media skills, supported by a portfolio of content creation, branding, and visual storytelling projects. Experience with print and digital media—such as brochures, mail-outs, and email campaigns—is essential. International experience and cross-cultural communication skills are considered valuable but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Create visually compelling graphics, brochures, posters, mail-outs, and digital media while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Develop and implement social media strategies with engaging visual content.
- Manage social media platforms by scheduling posts and responding to audience engagement.
- Analyze social media and marketing metrics to improve design and content strategies.
- Collaborate across internal teams to ensure consistent branding across communication channels.
- Research current design and marketing trends to strengthen brand identity.
- Produce infographics and promotional visual assets for campaigns.
- Write and design captivating email content and marketing materials.
- Oversee print production processes to guarantee high-quality output for brochures, reports, and direct mail.
- Maintain and update social media branding, including templates and post designs.
- Keep abreast of design best practices, typography, and layout trends.
- Support fundraising and awareness campaigns.
- Participate in marketing meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Engage in training and professional growth opportunities.
- Contribute to general ministry-related tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong graphic design capabilities with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
- Ability to organize effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with social media management tools such as Hootsuite and Buffer.
- Competence in analyzing data to extract actionable insights.
- Understanding of SEO and content optimization techniques.
Accountability and Remuneration
This position reports directly to the Director of Communications. Remuneration is available for either full-time or part-time engagement, with details to be determined.
