Role Overview
This position is designed specifically for individuals with US military or veteran backgrounds, or those possessing substantial understanding of military culture and communication. The specialist will oversee community moderation and engagement across multiple social channels, guaranteeing a respectful, secure environment aligned with client branding. Key tasks include replying to comments, producing compelling content, spotting and escalating issues, and fully representing client strategies. Candidates must be adaptable to flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts, supporting a 24/7 social media landscape.
Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to comments on various client social media platforms while preserving brand voice.
- Create engaging content to stimulate discussions and boost interaction.
- Maintain safe and respectful online communities according to client policies and guidelines.
- Monitor social media for emerging trends or issues and escalate appropriately.
- Understand and embody the client’s brand strategy, tone, and target audience in all communications.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to enhance engagement tactics.
- Demonstrate professionalism and consistency in interactions.
- Adapt to flexible work schedules including evenings, weekends, and overnights to support continuous operations.
Qualifications
- Experience in US military or veteran status, or equivalent knowledge of military culture and operations.
- Excellent written communication skills in English with strong grammar and spelling.
- Prior experience in social media management, especially moderation and engagement.
- Ability to adjust messaging style and tone for varying brands and audiences.
- Proficient with major social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Comfortable interacting with diverse topics such as technology, retail, food, hospitality, tourism, health, and pharmaceuticals.
- Highly organized, dependable, and customer service oriented.
- Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection suitable for remote work.
