Role Summary
We seek an Independent Contractor as a Social Content Producer to convert ideas, projects, and strategic insights into professionally executed editorial-style content. This position emphasizes creative production and high-quality editing, distinct from traditional social media management or marketing strategy roles. The candidate will work closely with the company's founders to introduce a refreshed social media approach and produce compelling content focused on visual storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit Instagram Reels and short-form videos with precision and creativity.
- Design editorial carousel posts aligning with brand aesthetics.
- Develop graphics and visual elements derived from project photography, sketches, presentations, and videos.
- Refine captions ensuring consistency with the established brand voice.
- Prepare and schedule content for publication on Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Maintain organization of content files and manage a production calendar effectively.
- Contribute innovative ideas that enhance the storytelling quality.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate possesses outstanding creative judgment, a keen eye for typography, pacing, composition, and storytelling, and prioritizes quality content over fleeting trends. You should be independent, organized, dependable, and collaborative, capable of taking the lead while maintaining deadlines. Appreciation for architecture, hospitality, interiors, branding, culture, and design is essential. Additionally, candidates must have the ability to capture content in the San Diego County area bi-monthly.
