Job description

Role overview

The Painting House is looking for a creative social media and content professional to help shape how the brand appears online while bringing a fresh approach to a trade that has stayed the same for years. This is a part-time position to begin with, requiring only a few hours each week, and it is designed to expand as the business grows.

This is a practical, on-the-ground content role. The focus is not limited to planning and posting; you will also be out on site capturing projects and turning them into engaging material that grabs attention quickly.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and managing the social media direction across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Creating content directly on site by filming and photographing colour work, transformations, and finished interiors.
  • Turning raw footage and images into scroll-stopping posts that reflect a premium brand identity.
  • Managing paid advertising activity, especially on Facebook, and using strong content to generate leads.

What we're looking for

  • A strong appreciation for colour, interiors, and visual presentation.
  • Comfort and confidence using Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, along with an understanding of what works best on each platform.
  • Openness to using AI tools, or a genuine interest in learning them, including basic photo editing, photo-to-video tools, and digital colour visualisation.
  • Ability to travel to job sites across the East Midlands to capture content, with own transport considered ideal.
  • Either a recent graduate who has already completed their first professional role, or someone currently employed who wants to broaden their portfolio with meaningful creative ownership.

Growth and working style

The role is based in the East Midlands and involves regular site visits at the start so a strong content library can be built. Over time, the travel requirement is expected to become less frequent as the portfolio of content grows.

This position offers a real opportunity to grow with the business, with potential future paths such as Head of Creative or Head of Marketing as the company scales. You will work closely with the founder and have genuine input into how the brand is developed. The setup is hybrid, with a mix of remote work and regular on-site content capture.

Compensation

This is a paid role, and compensation will be reviewed as your responsibilities increase.
