About Kendra Scott
Kendra Scott is a fashion and lifestyle brand built around bold ideas, colorful confidence, and design-led inspiration. Grounded in family, fashion, and philanthropy, the company sees both employees and customers as central to its success and believes that giving back is the most meaningful measure of achievement. Its brand culture blends style with innovation, supported by two advanced facilities in Austin, Texas, and a growing retail presence nationwide.
Role Overview
Kendra Scott is looking for a highly imaginative, social-first content creator to help shape the brand’s presence across Instagram, TikTok, and newer social channels. The person in this role will produce, capture, and edit engaging content that feels true to the brand while building relevance, connection, and audience engagement.
The ideal candidate is a multi-skilled storyteller who can work as a videographer, photographer, editor, and trend observer. They should be comfortable in a fast-moving environment, deeply familiar with social media culture, and committed to making content that feels natural to each platform while still maintaining a polished brand voice.
This position involves frequent travel to cover brand events, influencer experiences, photo shoots, philanthropic activities, store launches, and timely cultural moments that offer strong content opportunities in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce platform-native content for Instagram, TikTok, Reels, Stories, and other emerging social channels.
- Attend activations, influencer gatherings, store openings, photo shoots, philanthropic events, and relevant cultural experiences to capture real-time content.
- Record and edit short-form videos, photography, behind-the-scenes moments, interviews, and trend-led assets.
- Work closely with Social Media, Brand Marketing, PR, Influencer, and Creative teams to turn campaign ideas into social-first storytelling.
- Track social trends, popular formats, sounds, creators, and cultural moments, then use them thoughtfully in content.
- Create content that feels both authentic and aligned with an elevated brand identity.
- Develop ideas that highlight Kendra Scott’s products, community, and values in an engaging, relatable way.
- Plan content with both organic and paid social objectives in mind.
- Support content brainstorming and planning for seasonal campaigns, product launches, key brand moments, and influencer collaborations.
- Source and weave in user-generated content, creator content, and community-driven storytelling opportunities.
- Coordinate with influencers and talent during events to capture as many content moments as possible.
- Review content performance and suggest improvements based on engagement data and platform trends.
- Maintain an organized library of photo and video assets for social media use.
Qualifications
- At least 3–5+ years of experience producing content for social media, brands, publishers, agencies, or creator-focused platforms.
- A strong portfolio showing social-first skills in photography, videography, and editing.
- Solid knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and emerging social channels.
- Proven ability to create short-form videos that feel native to each platform.
- Strong storytelling ability with experience translating business goals into compelling content.
- Excellent visual judgment for composition, styling, lighting, and trend-informed creative work.
- Comfort working independently while traveling and creating content in changing environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a busy, fast-paced setting.
- Flexible availability, including occasional evenings and weekends for events and activations.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time based on business needs.
Ideal Candidate Traits
The best fit for this role is someone who lives and breathes social media and internet culture, can identify trends before they peak, and understands the difference between branded content and content people genuinely want to watch. They should bring a clear creative point of view while staying adaptable to brand priorities. The role also calls for the ability to move naturally between luxury, lifestyle, fashion, philanthropy, and cultural storytelling, with a belief that strong content comes from being present and capturing authentic moments. A passion for helping shape how Kendra Scott appears in culture and online conversation is important.
