Role Summary

This position is for an experienced public relations professional who is energized by the changing media landscape and wants to help strengthen and protect the reputation of a well-known brand. The role supports the creation and execution of the broader PR strategy to increase brand visibility and drive meaningful engagement through traditional, digital, and emerging channels.

Reporting to the Senior Director of PR, the person in this role will act as an important point of contact for agency partners and will build strong relationships with both local and national media. The job calls for an understanding that the best stories are earned through real relationships, thoughtful storytelling, and a sharp sense of what matters in today’s media environment.

As part of the PR team, this leader will identify and shape press opportunities that highlight the brand, founder, and leadership stories. They will also look for fresh ways to expand visibility and work closely with the Influencer Marketing team on influencer and celebrity engagement. In addition, the role supports the brand’s reputation by helping strengthen trust, credibility, and long-term equity.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, genuinely interested in communications, curious about new industry trends, and eager to grow in a role rooted in strong PR fundamentals while helping evolve them for the future. Success in this role also depends on thriving in a fast-moving creative environment and building strong alignment across marketing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Director of Public Relations with planning and carrying out PR initiatives for Kendra Scott and Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott.
  • Drive Texas-focused PR efforts by representing the brand and maintaining relationships with regional and local media, tastemakers, and community partners.
  • Handle the Stylist Program for both brands, including relationship management, outreach, and monthly product kit coordination.
  • Manage the AGO SEO Seasonal Style Guide in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Organize product samples for media placements, partnerships, and celebrity dressing opportunities.
  • Act as the main contact for leadership media requests and award submissions, including briefing development, data gathering, and coordination across teams.
  • Oversee press opportunities for both brands to ensure smooth execution and alignment with internal stakeholders.
  • Work with Regional Marketing teams to support local PR campaigns, shape targeted pitches, and align regional activity with broader brand goals.
  • Create PR deliverables such as press releases, media pitches, executive briefing materials, and campaign summaries.
  • Support the planning and delivery of brand events, including media previews, collection launches, and activations.
  • Respond to incoming media requests promptly and with strategic judgment.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on PR results, media coverage, and campaign performance.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • At least 3 years of public relations experience, with proven success in fashion PR and talent relationship management.
  • Strong awareness of trends and developments across retail, fashion, and entertainment, along with existing industry connections.
  • Good understanding of cultural moments and how they influence brand relevance.
  • Proven media relations capabilities with results across print, broadcast, and digital channels.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to identify and launch initiatives with limited guidance.
  • Genuine interest in the brand and its values: Family, Fashion, and Philanthropy.
  • Experience working in a multi-person, cross-departmental team environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort working closely with executive leadership.
