Position Summary
We are seeking a Social Media & Content Manager to lead the management and creative output across our owned social media channels. This role is deeply involved in the production process, encompassing conceptualizing, filming, editing, and publishing short-form videos and design materials. Additionally, it involves supporting public relations activities and coordinating ReminderMedia's presence at industry events and conferences. This hybrid position is based in our King of Prussia, PA office, requiring regular onsite collaboration due to content filming and teamwork demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop concepts, scripts, and produce original short videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other company social channels.
- Appear on camera and audio regularly, directing other participants such as employees, clients, and partners.
- Create supporting design assets for social media, email campaigns, and web platforms.
- Maintain and adhere to a content publishing schedule across all active channels.
- Apply and uphold ReminderMedia’s brand voice, visual style, and messaging guidelines consistently.
- Utilize approved AI tools for generating images, videos, and designs following company AI usage policies, including necessary documentation for AI-assisted content.
- Analyze and report on channel and post engagement performance against set growth objectives periodically.
- Draft press releases, product announcements, and external communications for approval.
- Build media contact lists, develop story angles, and pitch stories to industry outlets.
- Support marketing efforts in paid and organic promotions collaboratively with the marketing team.
- Source, curate, and obtain permissions for user-generated content and testimonials following approved consent processes.
- Ensure compliance of testimonial content with relevant advertising rules, including FTC Endorsement Guides, SEC Marketing Rules for investment advisers, and state insurance and real estate advertising regulations, routing regulated content through Legal/Compliance.
- Engage with the online community by responding timely to comments and messages and escalating service or complaint issues appropriately.
- Serve as the principal liaison for ReminderMedia’s conferences and industry events, managing logistics, deadlines, deliverables, and on-site content capture.
- Maintain professional relationships with event organizers and partners, coordinating cross-promotional materials.
- Travel occasionally (about 10-15% annually) for events, including overnight stays and working outside regular hours as needed.
- Note: This role does not have authority to enter contracts or commitments; all agreements and expenditures must be approved by designated leadership.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years managing social media channels for brands or organizations.
- Proven ability to produce short-form videos, including filming, editing, and adding captions.
- Experience creating design assets for digital or social media use.
- Hands-on skills with AI-based tools for image, video, or design creation.
- Comfort working with editorial calendars and meeting consistent publishing deadlines.
- Proficient in using social media platform analytics to evaluate content performance.
- Willingness to be on camera and audio for published content.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule, including regular time at the King of Prussia office.
- Portfolio showcasing previously published content, including at least two short-form videos, required during application; no unpaid original work requested during interviews.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English necessary for content development and media pitching.
- Ability to travel approximately 10-15% annually, including overnight travel when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in public relations, communications, or media relations with proven media coverage achievements.
- Experience targeting professional services audiences like real estate, insurance, or financial advisory sectors.
- Familiarity with advertising compliance in regulated industries.
- Event coordination experience related to trade shows or industry conferences.
- Knowledge of social media scheduling, listening, or asset management tools.
Performance Metrics
- Consistent publishing across all active social channels according to schedule.
- Demonstrated growth in engagement and followers beyond target baselines.
- Quantity and quality of original short-form videos produced.
- Successful media placements and earned publicity.
- Volume of compliance-approved, permissioned user-generated and testimonial content collected.
- Timely completion of event-related deliverables.
