Job description
About the Role
Join portier, a pioneering Australian lifestyle brand based in Port Melbourne, dedicated to modern parenting solutions. We design carefully crafted baby carriers, bags, and essentials that merge functionality with refined aesthetic appeal. Experiencing exciting growth both domestically and internationally, we're seeking a Social Media and Content Specialist to steward our organic social channels and craft content that resonates deeply with our audience. This role offers a chance for meaningful ownership and leadership growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage portier's organic social media channels across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Develop and oversee the social content calendar, ensuring alignment with product launches, marketing campaigns, and brand priorities.
- Conceptualize, style, film, edit, and publish high-quality, social-first content.
- Create both polished campaign materials and authentic, low-fi content that drives audience engagement.
- Bring the portier brand to life through compelling and visually engaging storytelling.
- Keep abreast of social media trends and convert them into relevant, brand-consistent content.
- Establish and maintain relationships with creators via gifting and paid collaborations.
- Interact with the community to foster meaningful engagement and conversations.
- Track content performance metrics, derive insights, and continuously refine the content strategy.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about social media—not merely managing platforms but living them daily. You're adept at recognizing trends early and envisioning future content that captures attention. Comfortable behind the camera and in editing suites, you deliver stories that are both creative and true to brand identity.
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in social media and content creation, preferably within premium lifestyle, fashion, beauty, or consumer brands.
- A professional portfolio that demonstrates personal involvement in concept creation, filming, and editing.
- Proficiency with editing software like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or equivalents.
- Strong visual styling sense, with keen attention to composition and brand aesthetics.
- Genuine enthusiasm for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and emerging social trends.
- Experience tailoring content natively for various social platforms.
- Prior experience collaborating with creators and influencers.
- Self-driven, organized, and proactive, with a readiness to take full ownership.
Benefits and Opportunities
- Lead social media efforts for one of Australia’s fastest-growing premium parenting brands.
- Work closely with our Founder and Head of Marketing, enjoying significant creative autonomy.
- Be part of an ambitious, collaborative, and passionate team.
- Operate from our attractive Port Melbourne office featuring complimentary onsite parking.
- Opportunities for career growth into leadership roles as the company expands.
