Role Summary
The Social Media Assistant / Content Creator will oversee the hotel’s social media presence and ensure day-to-day activity is managed smoothly and professionally. The role calls for strong ethical standards and a commitment to protecting the brand’s reputation while supporting product and service quality for guests and clients.
Key Duties
- Create and plan engaging social content for the hotel’s channels, working closely with photographers, videographers, and other creative partners.
- Shape and support a social media strategy that contributes to the property’s overall business goals.
- Build content plans that stay aligned with the brand’s identity.
- Produce steady, relevant content across platforms, including drafting and refining posts, improving audience interaction, and supporting campaigns.
- Handle a large volume of daily social media posts.
- Develop and maintain the hotel and F&B social media calendar in line with key messages, promotions, and marketing activity.
- Respond to social media followers and enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Keep track of current social media trends and best practices.
- Recommend improvements to strengthen social media performance.
- Identify promotional opportunities such as influencer partnerships, marketing tie-ins, and brand activations.
- Propose campaign and activation ideas that grow brand engagement and revenue.
- Ensure all content and social activity follow brand guidelines.
- Plan and deliver both short-term and long-term campaign objectives, including KPI setting and performance tracking.
- Coordinate with operational teams on F&B, rooms, and spa packages and promotions.
- Carry out social media audits and recommend practical improvements.
- Assess and present social media performance updates to hotel management.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Social Media, Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in social media and content creation.
- Strong creative ability with a proven history of producing content, campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Capable of managing projects within time and budget limits.
- Able to perform effectively under pressure.
- Comfortable using computers and standard digital tools.
