Job description
Role Overview
We are looking to hire a dynamic and inspired Social Care Worker to join our day services team at Westmeath, working Monday through Friday for 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will be instrumental in empowering individuals to pursue lives aligned with their personal choices and values. This role emphasizes facilitating community connections, encouraging new experiences, and fostering genuine relationships for those supported.
Key Responsibilities
The Social Care Worker will undertake proactive leadership in crafting and delivering person-centred support strategies, ensuring that service users enjoy meaningful social roles and opportunities for inclusion in their local communities. The role involves working closely with individuals with communication needs and supporting those who may display behaviors of concern, guided by individualised planning and support methods.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must hold a recognised diploma in Social Care or Applied Social Studies in Social Care Practice, equivalent to Level 7 or higher on the National Framework of Qualifications, and approved by CORU. Registration, or progress towards registration, with CORU is essential. Prior experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, and complex care needs including behaviors of concern is required. A valid full manual driving license for Ireland is mandatory.
