Overview
Join Deloitte's Forensic & Disputes team as a Manager specializing in transaction monitoring, sanctions, KYC, and CDD within the financial services sector. This role involves deep expertise in transaction monitoring programs and aligning with industry standards such as FATF guidelines and regulatory acts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of transaction monitoring concepts and industry developments including FATF, Wolfsberg principles, and major anti-money laundering regulations.
- Conduct thorough research using internal and external databases to analyze funds transfer and transactional data.
- Identify anomalous patterns and suspicious activities related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and structuring through data analysis.
- Evaluate customer risk profiles with detailed KYC assessment and make informed risk-based decisions.
- Perform hands-on KYC verification, enhanced due diligence, and remediate KYC files as necessary.
- Investigate alerts and cases generated via automated AML systems and internal referrals, including 90-day SAR reviews.
- Utilize strong communication and presentation abilities while collaborating effectively with team members and clients.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and lead teams effectively.
- Operate proficiently with Microsoft Office, internet research tools, and undertake case research using public platforms.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Any graduate with a minimum of 10 years of experience in transaction monitoring, AML/KYC compliance, consulting, or banking.
- Strong background in financial services advisory, especially transaction monitoring processes and systems.
- Experience in AML & KYC policy development, gap and risk assessments, suspicious activity reporting, and transaction monitoring remediation.
- Knowledge of sanctions, PEP, negative news screening, and OFAC testing.
- Familiarity with AML & KYC system implementation and optimization of transaction monitoring procedures.
- Certification such as CFE or ACAMS is advantageous.
Additional Information
- This is a contractual position for one year with possibilities of extension, renewal, or conversion based on performance and business needs.
- Work location will typically be onsite at the office or client premises as per project requirements.
