Job description
Role Overview
Amazon's SLP (Security and Loss Prevention) team is looking for an experienced and driven professional to develop and execute top-tier security programs ensuring timely delivery of products at optimal costs. Amazon distributes millions of products globally each year and requires robust security measures to protect assets and customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage complete security operations for assigned sites, including overseeing guarding services, workforce allocation, control room monitoring, and maintenance of security systems and assets in partnership with physical security, technical, and vendor teams.
- Conduct regular site audits using standardized checklists, ensure certification compliance, and collaborate with site operations to rectify audit findings and reduce risk exposure.
- Drive loss prevention initiatives by identifying process violations through audits and floor inspections, analyzing trends, and partnering with operations to implement corrective actions and scalable technology/system improvements.
- Lead investigations into theft, fraud, and customer abuse by reviewing video evidence, coordinating with law enforcement, and analyzing operational patterns to support escalation management.
- Assess internal and external risks periodically and implement mitigation strategies to guarantee business continuity during crises, acting as a primary leader during incidents following worldwide operating standards.
- Prepare and present critical business review documents for meetings such as WBR, MBR, and QBR, collaborating with various teams to discuss strategic issues and operational insights.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in law enforcement or security-related fields.
- Demonstrated background in security operations or law enforcement professions.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
