Job description
Role Overview
The Site Civil Engineer is entrusted with organizing, executing, and overseeing all civil construction operations at the project location. This position guarantees that all civil contractor activities are completed efficiently, aligned with the project's goals, technical details, and company standards.
Key Duties
- Lead and coordinate the on-site civil team, ensuring management of all civil construction tasks.
- Monitor construction development rigorously to confirm adherence to approved plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and safety regulations.
- Provide consistent progress updates and key information to the General Site Manager and Civil Sub Project Manager.
- Actively track project timelines to identify delays early, applying corrective actions to meet completion deadlines.
- Ensure contractors comply with quality, technical, timeline, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) criteria.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team for technical guidance and resolving on-site challenges.
- Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical inquiries in conjunction with the Project Manager (Civil).
- Review and implement Field Quality Plans to maintain site standards.
- Assess constructability aspects of civil designs and communicate suggestions for improvements.
- Approve Non-Conformance Reports and as-built documents submitted by contractors after thorough evaluation.
- Support site administration by reporting on HSE, quality, documentation, scheduling, risks, contracts, claims, workforce, forecasts, contractor performance, materials, and critical incidents.
- Maintain stringent adherence to company HSE policies, legal requirements, and relevant national and international safety standards.
- Consistently comply with organizational policies and ethical business conduct procedures.
