Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our awarded team located in Doha, Qatar. This position is pivotal in supporting infrastructure and building construction initiatives, with preference given to candidates having experience with Kahramaa or similar utility projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee civil works on-site ensuring they adhere to approved designs, specifications, contracts, and quality plans.
  • Track performance of contractors and subcontractors monitoring health, safety, environment (HSE), quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and project progress.
  • Review and approve material submissions, method statements, shop drawings, inspection reports, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure inspections, testing, approvals, and documentations are properly conducted with accurate records indicating conformity.
  • Identify and resolve technical problems and non-conformities employing corrective and preventative measures.
  • Verify that all materials, construction activities, and testing equipment comply with standards and calibration requirements.
  • Coordinate among multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, electrical, and process to ensure design compatibility and smooth interfacing.
  • Assist in subcontractor evaluations, audits, and confirmation of quality systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive and traceable records of inspections, testing, approvals, and non-conformance reports.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of professional experience in water infrastructure projects, pumping stations, and road construction.
  • Practical expertise in dewatering systems and temporary work structures.
  • Experience with design review, coordination and identifying constructability and discrepancy issues.
  • Knowledgeable about Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), Kahramaa standards, and international regulations.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical challenges and solutions.
  • Ability to proactively solve problems and make timely decisions on-site.
  • Competence in drafting progress reports and contractual correspondence.
