Job description
Role overview
Fortrea is looking for a Site Budget & Contract Specialist to help support clinical research operations by handling site-level agreements and related contract work. The position sits within the FSPx team and partners directly with a key sponsor to support the development of new medicines that can improve patient care.
What you will do
- Draft, negotiate, and oversee site agreements, confidentiality agreements, and letters of indemnification for clinical trials.
- Make sure all work aligns with standard operating procedures, regulatory expectations, and the terms of each contract.
- Keep contract records current in the relevant tracking tools so progress remains visible and deadlines are met.
- Flag contract-related concerns and bring them to management when needed.
- Help with internal review, edits, and approvals before contracts are sent to outside parties.
- Work closely with study teams, legal partners, and project management to keep contract execution moving smoothly.
- Maintain both electronic and physical contract files so they stay accurate, complete, and easy to retrieve.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in team processes and workflow.
- Share regular progress updates with management and study teams.
What you need
- A bachelor’s degree such as LLB, JD, BA, or BS is preferred, and a university-level law degree from the UK or EU is considered especially valuable.
- Equivalent relevant experience may be accepted instead of formal education.
- About 2 to 4 years of experience in contract negotiation, clinical research, or a similar area.
- Solid knowledge of ICH GCP guidelines and how clinical research operates.
- Strong ability to negotiate, communicate clearly, and stay organized.
- Confidence working independently while handling several priorities in a busy environment.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and contract tracking systems.
What Fortrea offers
- A competitive salary plus performance-linked incentives.
- Flexible working options, including remote and hybrid arrangements.
- Opportunities to build your career in a collaborative, forward-thinking workplace.
- The chance to contribute to advanced clinical research programs.
