About the Role
We are recruiting several Site Activation Specialists (SAS) to join our Australia and New Zealand Site Activation team on either permanent contracts or 12-month fixed-term contracts. This position offers a unique chance to engage with a diverse range of sponsors and therapeutic categories, facilitating clinical trials from initial site identification through activation and ongoing site maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end site start-up processes, collaborating closely with internal study teams, investigative sites, and external stakeholders to achieve timely and compliant site activation.
- Support site feasibility assessments, identification, start-up, and maintenance tasks across several studies and sponsors.
- Prepare, review, and monitor site start-up documentation following regulatory, ethics, and sponsor guidelines.
- Serve as the primary contact for investigative sites during start-up and maintenance phases.
- Coordinate independently the submission of ethics approvals and informed consent forms, including local adaptations and amendments.
- Lead negotiations related to site budgets and contracts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date site and study data within internal tracking systems.
- Effectively communicate project statuses, risks, and timelines to internal stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 12 months of practical experience managing clinical trial site start-up or site activation activities.
- Experience handling ethics submissions and informed consent documentation requirements.
- Demonstrated proficiency in site budget and contract negotiations.
- Strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple sites and studies simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- A bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Legal right to work in Australia or New Zealand is mandatory.
