Signage Production and Installation Technician

Job Overview

Located in Doha, Qatar, this full-time onsite role seeks an experienced Signage Production and Installation Technician with 4 to 5 years' practical experience. Preference will be given to candidates with previous GCC experience. Proficiency in English reading, writing, and basic communication is required. The position offers a competitive salary based on experience along with accommodation or accommodation and food allowances as per company policy.

Primary Responsibilities

• Fabricate, manufacture, assemble, and install a diverse range of both indoor and outdoor signage.
• Prepare surfaces and substrates for the precise application of vinyl graphics and signage.
• Apply vinyl graphics maintaining exacting quality standards.
• Mount, laminate, trim, and complete finishing of printed graphics for installation purposes.
• Install various signage products including Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) cladding, 3D channel letters, acrylic and metal letters, large-format vinyl graphics, banners, post and panel signs, wayfinding and directional signage, sign frames, and concrete base installations.
• Operate installation machinery, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Interpret and utilize technical drawings, measurements, and installation layouts.
• Conduct thorough quality inspections before, during, and after installations to ensure workmanship excellence.
• Collaborate with production and project teams to ensure adherence to schedules and timely project completion.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Consistently follow workplace health, safety, and quality guidelines.
• Travel to various project sites as necessary to perform installation tasks.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 4 to 5 years of professional experience in signage production, fabrication, and installation.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of manufacturing indoor and outdoor signage.
• Proficiency in vinyl application, graphic mounting, and lamination techniques.
• Experience with ACP cladding, channel letters, structural signage, and sign fabrication processes.
• Ability to operate power equipment and installation tools efficiently.
• Competence in reading technical drawings, measurements, and production specifications accurately.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Comfortable with working at heights and performing physically intensive installation work.
• Willingness and availability to travel for project installations as required.
• Good command of English for reading, writing, and basic communication.
• Previous experience in GCC region is advantageous but not mandatory.
