Overview
This permanent, full-time position at PlaceMakers Mt Wellington seeks a reliable Showroom Team Member who will act as the initial point of contact and knowledgeable advisor for building trade customers. The role involves providing expert product recommendations, ensuring a positive customer experience, and supporting sales operations at the trade counter.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with customers, offering tailored product suggestions based on their preferences and needs.
- Handle processing of sales orders and item returns efficiently at the counter.
- Maintain stock organization and perform merchandising duties to keep inventory at optimal levels.
- Support in-store promotional activities and assist with setting up displays.
- Uphold store cleanliness and safety standards through routine housekeeping.
Working Hours and Location
This role is based full-time at our Mt Wellington showroom in Auckland, operating Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 40 hours each week.

- Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented attitude ready to assist wherever necessary.
- Strong work ethic complemented by an approachable and grounded demeanor.
- Detail-oriented with solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable using technology and navigating various systems.
- Prior experience in customer-facing roles, especially within trade retail sales, is preferred.
- Knowledge of building products is advantageous but not mandatory.
