Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, load, and detonate explosives following safety regulations and blast designs.
• Perform pre-blast inspections to ensure all safety standards are met.
• Work collaboratively with drillers and supervisors to accurately execute blast patterns.
• Manage and secure explosives with proper storage and handling practices.
• Accurately complete and maintain blast reports and necessary documentation.
• Monitor environmental factors to minimize blasting impact.
• Ensure the blast zone is cleared and secured prior to detonation.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in drill and blast operations is essential.
• Electronics knowledge is a plus.
• Possession of a current Dangerous Goods Security Card.
• Valid Shotfirer Licence required.
• HR Licence considered advantageous.
• Familiarity with explosives and blasting procedures.
• Strong communication capabilities.
• Current Western Australia Driver's Licence.
