Job description
Overview
This role is for a dependable and steady video editor who can turn raw gaming and streamer clips into engaging YouTube Shorts. You’ll be editing in a specific house style, and you’ll receive training, examples, and step-by-step SOPs to follow.
The edits are meant to be quick-paced and built for retention, with a focus on subtitles, zooms, punch-ins, clean cuts, and sound effects. This is not a cinematic editing role. The workflow is designed to be simple, repeatable, and efficient once the process is learned. For the right person, this can develop into ongoing, high-volume work.
Content You’ll Edit
- Twitch gaming clips
- Twitch IRL clips
- Vertical short-form videos in the 20 to 60 second range
- Pre-selected content from creators with real audiences and proven performance
Responsibilities
- Take raw clips that are typically 20 to 60 seconds long, with occasional stream excerpts
- Turn each clip into a polished Short that runs about 20 to 40 seconds
- Add subtitles, zooms, punch-ins, visual effects, sound effects, and other required editing elements
- Work in the provided editing style using the supplied training materials and SOPs
- Upload completed videos to Drive and/or the specified destination
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
- Ability to create and manage captions and subtitles directly inside Premiere Pro
- No use of CapCut or other editing tools
- Experience editing short-form vertical content
- Prior exposure to PC games and familiarity with Twitch or gaming culture
- Good English understanding, especially spelling, grammar, and humor
- Ability to follow instructions and SOPs precisely
- Reliable internet connection
- Capacity to deliver work within deadlines
- Openness to feedback and willingness to improve
Application Requirement
Applicants should mention which PC games they have played and their rank in their application.
Work Style
This is a simple, repeatable editing process rather than a cinematic one. Speed, consistency, and attention to detail are important, especially when working from a defined style guide.
