Job Summary

The role involves managing sea freight shipments by coordinating bookings with carriers, preparing documentation, tracking cargo progress, and communicating effectively with all parties to guarantee timely deliveries and accurate billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule bookings with shipping lines or carriers to facilitate prompt sea cargo transport.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, internal teams, and warehouse personnel to maintain seamless cargo operations.
• Prepare and handle all necessary shipping paperwork, including shipping instructions, customs documents, and letters of credit.
• Coordinate prompt cargo collection and dispatch as per customer requirements.
• Continuously track the status of sea freight shipments and update stakeholders regularly.
• Promptly identify and address shipment delays or problems, implementing corrective measures and issuing advance alerts to customers.
• Manage invoicing and billing processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Respond swiftly and professionally to customer inquiries concerning shipment status and issues.
• Create and sustain open communication channels with customers to provide excellent service and updates.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum educational qualification: "O" Level.
• At least one year’s experience in the shipping industry; fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with import/export ocean shipments.
• Knowledge of letters of credit, Incoterms, Singapore shipping protocols, and freight forwarding operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders effectively.
• Analytical mindset for monitoring shipment progress and resolving issues efficiently.
• Proactive team player attitude with a high degree of responsibility.
• Excellent organizational skills for planning and follow-up in a dynamic work environment.
• Innovative problem-solving capabilities for handling shipment challenges.
• Immediate availability for employment is advantageous.

Additional Details

• Workplace: Clementi Loop, Singapore.
• Working days: Monday to Friday (5-day workweek).
• Working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:45 PM.
