About the Role

Join Starbucks as a Shift Supervisor at store #61356 located at 897 Niagara Street in Welland, Ontario. Key Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer and store needs by continuously assessing the environment and customer cues.

• Support new partner training by reinforcing successful behaviors and offering constructive, respectful coaching.
• Provide feedback on partner performance to the store manager during the shift.
• Help cultivate a positive team environment by identifying changes in morale or performance and communicating these to management.
• Offer clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence and support partner growth.
• Deliver outstanding customer service with a customer-first mindset, engaging positively with customers.
• Recognize and respond effectively to customer needs.
• Build strong relationships within the shift team by understanding individual motivations and concerns.
• Oversee store operations throughout scheduled shifts, including organizing opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all Starbucks policies concerning operations, cash handling, safety, and security to maintain partner safety.
• Ensure that proper cash management procedures are followed by all shift personnel.
• Monitor baristas during the shift to guarantee consistent delivery of excellent customer service.
• Maintain punctuality and dependable attendance.
• Prepare beverages, whole bean coffee, and food products consistently according to Starbucks' recipes and presentation standards.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations for all products.
• Recognize and celebrate individual and team accomplishments using existing organizational tools and collaborate with the manager to develop innovative recognition methods.
• Utilize operational resources effectively to achieve excellence during your shift.

Experience and Qualifications

• Experience providing customer service in retail or restaurant settings.
• Ability to supervise and direct others effectively.
• Quick learning aptitude.
• Strong oral communication skills.
