Role Overview

The Shift Officer for Yarn Dyeing is a full-time position based on-site at the Bapatla facility. This role oversees the yarn dyeing operations during designated shifts, ensuring production targets are achieved with stipulated quality and timelines. Core responsibilities include supervising dyeing processes, managing shift operators and support personnel, verifying shade matches and quality criteria, and enforcing safety and operational protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the yarn dyeing procedures to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Supervise and guide shift operators and ancillary staff, maintaining discipline and adherence to safety norms.
  • Ensure accurate shade matching and uphold quality parameters throughout the dyeing process.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve operational issues efficiently.
  • Maintain production logs, process parameters, and relevant documentation using basic computer skills.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on best practices and proper machinery usage.
  • Report shift performance and progress to senior management or supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of yarn dyeing techniques, dyeing equipment, and textile manufacturing workflows.
  • Experience in quality control related to shade consistency, color fastness, and yarn integrity.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in supervising shift teams and enforcing shop floor discipline.
  • Proficient in documentation and basic computer operations for maintaining reports.
  • Educational background in Textile Technology (diploma or degree preferred), with relevant certifications being advantageous.
  • Previous hands-on experience in yarn dyeing or textile processing environments, ideally in a supervisory or shift leadership role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude coupled with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with production, maintenance, and quality assurance departments.
  • Willingness to work in shifts as required by production schedules.
