About the Role
We are seeking a proficient and motivated Service Technician to become a part of our service team, focusing on providing exemplary service and repairs. This position involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to uphold quality and ensure customer satisfaction. Candidates with experience in Electric Vehicles (EV) will be favored, though those with Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) expertise will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute regular maintenance, servicing, and repairs on vehicles.
- Identify mechanical and electrical faults utilizing diagnostic instruments.
- Troubleshoot and fix vehicle components including electrical systems, motors, and mechanical parts.
- Complete service tasks promptly while upholding quality standards.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and service protocols.
- Accurately maintain service documentation and job cards.
- Collaborate with service advisors and workshop supervisors to facilitate effective service processes.
- Ensure appropriate operation and upkeep of workshop tools and equipment.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience of 1 to 3 years in automobile maintenance and servicing.
- Preferred background in Electric Vehicle servicing.
- Alternatively, experience in servicing Internal Combustion Engine vehicles is acceptable.
- Educational qualifications include ITI or Diploma in Automobile Engineering or related technical fields.
- Strong capabilities in diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Fundamental understanding of electrical and mechanical vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in handling workshop tools and diagnostic devices.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Abilities
- Practical experience in EV diagnostics and repair.
- Knowledge regarding battery systems, controllers, and vehicle electronics.
- Experience within authorized service centers or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) workshops.
